Lately I have been haunted with this terrible grief about usage of AI. Before any sensible person browsing neocties comes for my neck i have to remind everyone that i am firmly against its usage in most if not all cases. From the ethical to the enviromental, and behavioural consequenes it brngs i simply hate it. It canot be useed ethicaly for its methots of learnin and the agressive information gathering. It cannot be used if you are enviromentally concious for its terrible impact on our footprint on this plannet and its natural resources. It serves at means of economical gain for the majority of people who create it. I hate it and truly think it is rotten to the core, because as soon as it picked up on speen and widespread availibility it lost its altruistic and human touch. Machine learning had despite all it was used for still this touch of exploration, human invention and creativity. Don't trust what everyone claims as the creativity is lost now. And yet i still cant shake how afraid i am i will be left behind in this dumb race of who can prompt the robot to do better by using the correct words and paying the premium fee for it. In my honest oppinion the way it will effect our behaviours will be so devastating this might draw the change in generations before and the ones that follow. It was already studied how our behaviours and minds change thanks to media, tv radio, internet and smartphones. Many people like to argue how evolution is not this quick and we are still the same basic humans we were all those years ago. We miss one critical point here, and that is our enviroment shapes us as it did them, and with the same "biology" we could still end up radicaly and ireversably different. Psychology alone proposes so many theories and how our developement in our early years shapes us, i bring up how radical the changes can be. Using touchscreens is so unnatural for humans that were raised on analog devices they will never, even wth more years of using a touchscreen, get to the level of someone who was raised with one. (In general, i am not saying there are not deviations, as in everything.) Soon kids growing up with AI will have it as their second nature to use it, compared to us old grandmas having a hard time asking the perfect followup questions to search the web effectively. I don't belive we will be uneffected by the changes to our thinking, i would just compare it more to the way older people have a hard time using some online services or evaluating some information that is out there. My current grievance is how I don't want to use it, but am faces with the inevitable fact that i am simply fastforwrding my falling out with the new technologies. A conclusion I never dreamed to reach before my 23rd birthday. As I disagree with its general means of creation, operation and future it provides I know i won't push myself to explore and learn how to work with it. In my whole life i saw myself as a technolagically adept person and good with computers, having it taken from me like this is generaly frightening.
